Most of the large crime figures in American were arrested for tax violations and not for the crimes that made them famous. Once the Los Zetas Cartel establish a solid tax base in the U.S. with the added benefit of corruption pay offs they can roll for years to come unless an innocent child is harmed by indirect gang violence.

The U.S. Border Patrol and the local Law Enforcement are on their on. I really doubt the current Administration and state gov will make the military effort to solve this problem, because it will become a double edge sword for them. It will give Arizona a stronger foundation (remember the Federal lawsuit against Arizona) and it will be tough for the government to explain to the future Amnesty Hispanic Voters.

If the Los Zetas members can hold out or hide long enough they will become U.S. legal citizens under the new Amnesty Bill if they denounce their gang affiliation on paper. The Zetas will be able to control the U.S. side of the border enforcing their drug smuggling market.
